F.A.Q.
Q. How do I go about getting a web site for my business?
A. The first step is to register a domain name. The next step is to design your
web site and the last step is to find a host for your web site. We can handle
all or any of these steps for you.
Q. What's a domain name?
A. A domain name is your unique address on the www. It will generally be in this
form: www.yourcompanyname.com. Your domain name must be registered with one of
the many domain name registrars.
Q. What's web hosting?
A. You can think of web hosting as being the same thing as renting out space for
your store. Just as an actual physical store rents out business space, your web
site must rent out computer space. In other words, your web site must
reside somewhere on a special computer in order to be accessible on the
Internet. These special computers are called web servers.
Q. What's JavaScript?
A. JavaScript is an Internet programming language that allows the development of
more interactive web sites. For example, when you roll your mouse over an image
and it lights up or changes colour, that's JavaScript at work.
Q. How do I get my web site listed on search engines and why do
I need Meta Tags?
A. We will submit your web site(see our rates in the Web Design section) to the
major search engines for you and develop the necessary Meta Tags. Meta Tags are
special HTML commands that allow the search engines to index your web site and
return it in searches according to key words and a description you choose.
Q. How long will it take to design my web site?
A. The amount of time till the completion of your web site depends on 1.) the
size of your web site. 2.) the amount of original graphic work required and 3.)
our current client schedule.
